Mr. Orlan Johnson is the managing principal of TJC Consulting Group LLC (TJC) which offers custom-tailored services to organizations and individuals navigating the challenging realm of business and corporate governance. He advises on corporate board development, international development of strategic relationships, power/energy project strategic planning, international/domestic business development, and public private partnerships.

Mr. Johnson practiced law for over twenty-five years as a Power and Energy attorney and served in numerous positions in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Johnson is a former Senior Partner and member of Saul Ewing’s Business and Finance Department, where he was co- chair of the Securities Transactions and Regulations Practice Group and Chairman of the firm’s Diversity Committee.  Prior to working at Saul Ewing, Mr Johnson was Of counsel to the Milbank law firm, where he was co-head of the regulatory practice in the Washington DC office of this 900 attorney Wall Street-based international law firm. Mr. Johnson was also a Branch Chief, in the Office of Public Utility Regulation in the Division of Investment Management at the United States Securities & Exchange Commission.

In 2009 Mr. Johnson was appointed by President Obama and Confirmed by the United States Senate to be Chairman of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, the lead organization responsible for the investigation and recovery process for account holders of failed brokerage firms such as Lehman, Madoff and MF Global.
